Fact: Augusta is home to talented and driven makers, crafters, producers, growers, and artisans of exquisite, one-of-a-kind hand-crafted products, services, and experiences. You might be one of them.

Goal: The goal of Makers Map is to foster, promote, and grow the Augusta Maker economy by making it easier for the world to discover you and the awesome things that you do.

Think: One-of-a-Kind Show, but online, and just for Augusta Makers, but for the whole world to explore and shop.

Mission:  Maker’s Map is a vetted showcase of the very best that Augusta has to offer, for local residents and visiting friends from anywhere, and something to attract more Makers to join the collective by locating in Augusta.

WHO ARE WE?

Maker’s Map is a program run by Augusta Township in conjunction with the Economic Development and Tourism Advisory Committee. It is a vetted collection of products, services and experiences uniquely created by the collective of Augusta makers, crafters, producers, crafters, producers, growers, and artisans.  We partner with our Maker’s Map members to enhance the exposure of local Makers by offering comprehensive resources and assist in building their knowledge and capacity in key areas to improve their business.  Augusta recognizes ‘Makers’ as an important driver of economic development and are proud to support our Augusta Maker’s and to put them on the Makers Map.

HOW DO WE SUPPORT MAKERS

  • Provide online marketing through the Maker’s Map website,
  • Education and business resources,
  • Opportunities for networking and collaboration,
  • Enhancing online exposure to create new opportunities for Maker’s to be noticed,
  • Collective advertising for a wider reach outside their following, and
  • Opportunity to participate in events organized by Maker’s Map.

ARE YOU A MAKER?

Criteria to qualify for Maker’s Map:

  • Resident or headquartered within the borders of Augusta Township, (Makers close outside Augusta’s Borders will be considered on a case by case basis)
  • Willing to be a mark on ‘The Map’,
  • Have a product or destination experience that is unique and original,
  • Passionate about their product,
  • Dedicated to quality and craftsmanship,
  • Willingness to embrace technology,
  • Open to collaborating with other local businesses,
  • Be open to ‘Open Houses’ days; and
  • supportive of Augusta Township and our business community.
